Day 1: Pick-Up at Tan Son Nhat Airport & Food Tour by Motorbike (3-Star Hotel)

The Experience

To truly experience Ho Chi Minh City, you need to do two things: ride a motorbike and taste the local food. On this tour, you’ll do both! With an English-speaking guide, you’ll zoom through five districts, hopping on and off your motorbike to enjoy the most popular street foods in Vietnam, such as Bun Bo Hue, Nuoc Mia, Banh Mi, Goi Cuon, and more. You’ll even enjoy an ice-cold drink, perfect for hot Saigon nights.

The tour lasts 4 hours and is available for small groups, with each person assigned a private licensed driver. There are two daily departures: 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

There are 12 tastings on this Ho Chi Minh food tour:

Itinerary:

  • First Stop: Enjoy Beef Noodle Soup (Bun Bo Hue—not Pho).
  • Second Stop: Visit a “food heaven” in District 3, where street food reflects the diverse tastes of the locals. You’ll also explore the contrast between modern and traditional architecture.
  • Third Stop: Visit the Cambodian Market to sample Banh Trang Nuong and Crispy Banana Cracker.
  • Next Stop: Enjoy the most popular street food, Banh Mi, in a local area.
  • Final Stop: Sit among locals on plastic chairs at a street-side eatery to enjoy a wonderful night of food and conversation.

During the tour, we’ll share stories about local life and cuisine, offering insights not just into Saigon but into Vietnamese culture as a whole.

The tour concludes with a ride back to your hotel.

Day 2: Saigon City Tour and Cu Chi Tunnels (3-Star Hotel)

Itinerary:

  • 8:00 AM: Depart for Cu Chi. We’ll drive 70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City to visit the Cu Chi Ben Duoc tunnel system. This complex network allowed the Viet Cong to move undetected during the Vietnam War.
  • Cu Chi Tour: Watch an introductory video detailing the 20-year construction of the tunnels, then explore the underground system (80 cm x 120 cm) which housed schools, hospitals, and factories.
  • On Display: View booby traps, a US army tank, craters from B52 bombs, and personal items left behind.
  • Optional: Test your skills at the National Defense Shooting Range with authentic war-era rifles like the AK, M16, and M60.
  • 1:00 PM: Return to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch.

Afternoon City Tour:

  • War Remnants Museum: Learn about the American phase of the Vietnam War through artifacts, photos, and military equipment, including an F5A fighter and a UH1-Huey helicopter.
  • French Colonial Area: Visit the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, Opera House, City Hall, and take a stroll along Walking Street.
  • Ben Thanh Market: End the tour at this lively market in District 1, where your guide will assist with bargaining for souvenirs.

After the tour, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.

DAY 3: MEKONG DELTA TOUR FULL DAY SLEEP IN SAIGON (3-Star Hotel)

THE EXPERIENCE

My Tho is one of the provinces located in the Mekong Delta, around 90 km (2 hours driving) away from Saigon. It is famous for coconuts, so people call it the hometown of coconut. There are many types of fruit trees here, making it a significant supplier of fruits for other provinces in the Mekong Delta.

FULL DESCRIPTION:

Departing at 8:00 AM from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel, you will head to the Mekong Delta by minivan or bus. During the 1.5 to 2-hour drive, pass by green rice fields before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho. Your morning trip continues from here by motorized boat on the Tien River to the Lan (Unicorn Islet).

Walk into the village, where you can visit a local fruit garden and enjoy tropical fruits while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by islanders. Here, you can also join the daily activities of the local people and take in the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside. Visit the bee house and take pictures with pythons. Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden.

The boat cruise will lead you through the Bao Dinh canal, entering Ben Tre province — “the land of coconuts.” Here you’ll see a typical agricultural model called “Garden – Pond – Cage” before visiting the coconut candy-making shop.

Next, enjoy a rowing boat trip on the small canal, fully covered by the shade of the water coconut trees. After your boat ride, take another boat ride back to the port before returning to the van. You will arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City at around 4:30 to 5:00 PM for a private tour and around 6:00 to 6:30 PM for a group tour.

DAY 5: BA NA HILLS FULL DAY TOUR (3-Star Hotel)

7:30 AM: The tour guide will pick you up at the hotel.
8:30 AM: You will stop at the traditional craft village to wait for the tour guide to make a list and prepare tickets for the visit. This is the same route to Ba Na Hills.
9:45 AM: Guests will arrive at the Ba Na Hills gate and board the world’s longest rope cable car to the romantic French village.
11:45 AM – 1:00 PM: Guests will have a buffet lunch at the restaurant.
1:15 PM: Enjoy a mini show, take photos with the sparkling golden Sunworld Globe, and explore the fun French village leading to the Golden Bridge. Enjoy hundreds of blooming flowers at the Jardin Flower Garden.
4:15 PM: Guests will return to the cable car, moving to the Time Gate. The bus will be ready to take guests back to the hotel.

DAY 6: HUE FULL DAY TOUR (3-Star Hotel)

7:30 AM: The bus and tour guide will pick up the group at the hotel/airport. Travel to Hue via the longest tunnel in Southeast Asia – Hai Van Tunnel.
8:20 AM: Guests will start the journey and stop at Lang Co to rest, where they will experience Melaleuca oil products and admire the glittering pearl beads while waiting for the tour guide to prepare the group tour tickets.
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Guests will continue moving to Hue, where they will visit Khai Dinh Mausoleum, known for its unique architecture that combines Western modernity and Eastern classicism.
12:00 PM: Guests will return for lunch at a restaurant, enjoying a delicious seafood meal.
1:00 PM: The delegation will continue the journey to visit Dai Noi, Hue. You will be able to see famous sites such as The Meridian Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, Dien Tho Palace, and Truong Sanh Palace.
2:45 PM: Guests will board the car to visit the sacred Thien Mu Pagoda, an extremely famous pagoda in Hue.
3:45 PM: Guests will board the car to depart back to Da Nang.
5:45 PM: The bus and tour guide will return passengers to the original pick-up point.

DAY 7: MARBLE MOUNTAINS - HOI AN (3-Star Hotel)

3:30 – 4:00 PM: The bus and the tour guide will pick you up at the hotel.
4:30 PM: You will stop at Non Nuoc Stone Village to rest and admire the intricate stone works while waiting for the tour guide to prepare the group list and tour tickets.
The delegation will begin visiting the Marble Mountains. The tour guide will share stories about the legend of the formation of the five Marble Mountains and the 108 steps to visit Linh Ung Pagoda and the Relic Stupa.
5:00 PM: The bus and tour guide will continue to take you to Hoi An Ancient Town. Before arriving, you will have the opportunity to stop for rest and dinner.
6:45 PM: The delegation will explore Hoi An Ancient Town at night, with its shimmering lantern streets and unique architectural works. In particular, visitors will experience Boi Choi singing, a traditional art and culture in Hoi An.
8:00 PM: You can continue to freely visit and explore the brilliant streets at night markets, along with many interesting dishes.
8:30 PM: The delegation will gather at the designated meeting point. The bus and tour guide will take the group back to the original pick-up point.

DAY 9: HALONG BAY - LAN HA BAY (SLEEP ON THE 5-STAR CRUISE)

7:45 – 8:15 AM: Get picked up from your hotel (in the Hanoi Old Quarter area; not included in the cabin rate).
8:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Follow the newest highway connecting Hanoi and Hai Phong. Upon arrival at Station Number 17 – OVERNIGHT CRUISE PORT, Tuan Chau Maria, Ha Long, passengers will be welcomed by the receptionist at La Casta’s waiting lounge.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: After taking a rest, our high-speed tender will transfer you to the main boat (approximately 25 minutes). Get onboard and receive a warm welcome from the La Casta crew with a welcome drink. After that, you will be given a short briefing about La Casta Cruise and safety guidelines at our restaurant. Complete the check-in procedure and check into your suite cabins.
1:00 PM: Enjoy lunch in the restaurant. La Casta Cruise will depart for the voyage to discover Lan Ha Bay.
3:45 PM: Visit the Ba Trai Dao area and the natural lagoon of Lan Ha Bay. This area includes a beach that exudes a romantic atmosphere and three smaller islets resembling giant peaches on the sea. You can join our activities such as kayaking, swimming, sightseeing, and exploring the Ba Trai Dao area.
(In unfavorable weather conditions, to ensure the safety of our guests, this destination will be changed to the Light Cave, famous for its pristine natural beauty and poetic, attractive seascape of Lan Ha Bay. You can participate in activities such as kayaking and sightseeing on the bamboo boat. This is the best time for you to enjoy bamboo boating or swimming, which is an interesting activity to discover the true beauty of the stunning limestone formations and the blue sky of Lan Ha Bay.)
7:30 PM: Return to the La Casta cruise and enjoy the pre-dinner sunset party with a Happy Hour promotion (buy 2 get 1 free on select drinks) at the bar while watching the view of the bay at sunset.
6:00 PM: Join a cooking demonstration where our chef will guide you on how to make some simple signature Vietnamese dishes.
7:30 PM: Enjoy special seafood and typical Vietnamese food on the cruise.
9:00 PM: Evening entertainment: squid fishing, karaoke, and more. Overnight on the La Casta Cruise.

DAY 10: LAN HA BAY – HANOI (SLEEP ON THE BUS/ TRAIN)

6:15 AM: Wake up early and join the Tai Chi session on the sundeck, enjoying the fresh atmosphere and watching the sunrise in Lan Ha Bay.

7:00 – 7:45 AM: Have breakfast while admiring the morning view of the bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee.

8:00 AM:

  • Soak in the stunning views of the bay and its dramatic limestone islets.
  • Visit the famous Tra Bau for some free kayaking and exploring the landscape, or enjoy a swim.

9:00 AM: Return to your cabin, relax, and carefully check all your luggage before departure.

9:30 AM: Check out and enjoy a fantastic cruise on the bay with room service. Complete the check-out procedure and savor your brunch on La Casta Cruise.

10:30 AM: Enjoy brunch at the restaurant.

11:30 AM: Disembark at Tuan Chau Harbor. We hope you have enjoyed your time with us and wish you a safe onward journey.

DAY 11: HANOI – SAPA – CAT CAT VILLAGE (3-Star Hotel)

4:00 AM: Arrive in Sapa and sleep on the bus until 5:00 AM. You will wait for the tour guide to pick you up at 6:00 AM.

6:30 AM: Leave your luggage at the hotel and enjoy breakfast.

8:30 AM: The tour guide and guests will walk to Cat Cat Village, beginning the journey to explore the village. Visit Cat Cat Village of the H’Mong people, where you will learn about the customs and habits of ethnic minorities and see Cat Cat Waterfall.

11:30 AM: Return to the hotel for lunch and check into your room.

2:00 PM: Visit Fansipan Peak via the most modern cable car. The tour guide will take you to Muong Hoa Train Station to depart for Fansipan by cable car.

6:30 PM: Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

DAY 12: SAPA – TREKKING – Y LINH HO - LAO CHAI – TA VAN VILLAGE (3-Star Hotel)

8:30 AM: After breakfast at your hotel, the tour guide will pick you up and start trekking to Y Linh Ho Village. Then, hike through the rice terraces along Muong Hoa Stream to Lao Chai, the village of the Black H’mong minority. Here, you will enjoy the spectacular landscape of the Hoang Lien Son mountain ranges. Pass several tribal villages, including Lao Chai and Ta Van, which are home to the Black H’mong, Dzao, and Dzay minority peoples.

12:00 – 12:30 PM: Have lunch at Ta Van Village and take a rest.

2:30 PM: Return to Sapa Town by car/bus.

3:30 PM: Get on the bus back to Hanoi.

9:30 PM: Arrive in Hanoi and check into your room.

DAY 13: HOA LU - TAM COC - MUA CAVE - 1 DAY TRIP BY LIMOUSINE (3-Star Hotel)

07:25 – 8:00 AM: Get picked up by our friendly guide and depart for Ninh Binh Province. Pickup time depends on your location in the Hanoi Old Quarter or at the Opera House.

09:15 AM: Take a short break for 15–20 minutes to relax.

10:15 AM: Visit Hoa Lư, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 968 to 1010. Here, you will have a chance to learn about Vietnamese history during the feudal system under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties. Enjoy cycling around the village to sightsee and discover the life of the local people.

12:00 PM: Enjoy a buffet lunch at the Ninh Binh Excursion Restaurant, designed in a five-star style, featuring many local food options such as goat meat, spring rolls, fish, chicken, fried rice, and vegetable salad. Vegetarian options are always available.

1:30 PM: Visit Tam Coc on a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride. You will be amazed by the charming beauty of the area, with its paddy fields, river, clouds, sky, and stunning cave system, creating a masterpiece that Vietnamese people call “Ha Long Bay on land.”

3:30 PM: Return to the Limousine bus and leave for Mua Cave (Dragon Peak). After walking up nearly 500 steps, you will reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain and enjoy an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc. You can also breathe in the fresh air near the beautiful lotus paddy fields, especially during the summer.

5:00 PM: Get on the bus to return to Hanoi.

7:00 PM: Arrive back in Hanoi and get dropped off at your hotel. Check in at the hotel.
